I STRUGGLED to care about this. The story of a twenty something selfsh knob from London, who has to go home to the Essex *gasp* countryside, as his dad has left his mum for a younger woman, and his mummy *double gasp* has to go on……Prozac!
 
But it’s ok, as there’s a nice country girl in Essex too to stop him snivelling on and on about how he’s worried about his Mum.
 
Tuppence goes to the person who correctly guesses the oh-so-predictable ending.

..um...girl abducts boy with help of her father who is a dirty evil pirate.
boy is press ganged into 17 years hard sea-faring labour and only released once his kidneys have been stolen (with a rusty tin opener). he and his only friend (an albino badger) return to the essex cuntryside with a new found respect for all things pastoral and land based.

is that it?
yeah, i could see that coming a mile off.

I just finished my first book of the year haha. Douglas Coupland - Eleanor Rigby. I thought it was really good. It was real enough for me to empathise with with strange added bits to keep me interested. Just waiting for Girlfriend in a Coma to arrive any day. x
