50 books in 1 year - 2007

So, I’ve done. 50 books in one year. Phew!

It could have been more, except there were a few I jettisoned half way through for failing to be what I wanted. Others, I stuck with em and failed to see the fuss even on the last page. Others made me feel excited about books, about writing and about the availability of ace books at my local library.

So, to finish this year’s first 50 books in a year on this journal, here are my top 5’s...

Top 5 Finds

Top 5 Let downs

The Book of Other People - By Zadie Smith

I think I may do it again in 2008. anyone care to join me - it doesn't have to be 50, any number really

I do love libraries. Although I haven't visited my library since I tried to get George Orwell's 1984 and it was on loan, that a couple of months ago. But I got it for Christmas luckily!

I should get round to reading Apples, but I'll be occupied with 1984 and also the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy books (also a christmas gift) which I haven't read and since I'm a massive geek I think it's the law that I should read them really...

Good job, Boxall! I never doubted you'd do it, not with the spirit of Roy Castle behind you.

I might join you next year - Andy Elliott's 'Three Books In One Year' has a nice ring to it.

They'd best be short ones, mind.
