50 books in 1 year - # 33

This is one of the best books I’ve read in ages.
The story of Kerrie-Ann, daughter and girlfriend of junkies, growing up on a council estate in Nottingham is believable and gripping, touching (especially her relationship with her old neighbour and the present she leaves her) and gritty without stooping to well-used observations of junkie life and council estate living .

Just brilliant.
